Coconut Beach

At breakfast this morning Basket surprised us, he gave the Duke a copy of the shirt he had admired and only 300 Baht the Duke is very happy.

Prior to booking to stay at the Oasis, we had planned to stay at The Heaven Hill Resort. That was until receiving an email from them  the following is an extract

“ I am writing to you from this email to inform you, that as of December 1, 2019, Heaven Hill Resort will be a naturist resort. I really hope, you do not mind, that some of the guests will be naked during the last 2 day s of your stay. “

They continued by saying we were welcome to keep our clothes on, the thought of being served breakfast by naked hosts…..enough said.

A taxi is taking us to White Sands Beach. Of course many holiday complex’s around this fabulous beach. So we keep walking, passing all the people asking if we want a sunbed.

Sunday on a fabulous beach…

Further along the sands is Coconut Beach, with many trees providing much needed shade. After a bit of sunbathing and a swim time for lunch walking a bit further along the beach there is a restaurant called the Boatyard. Tables on the beach and a very nice lunch, interrupted by a rain shower. Our taxi returns to pick us up at the agreed time, very good service. Back at the Oasis there is just the two of us for a while. The sky is becoming more overcast, but it doesn’t prevent our afternoon siesta.

Tonight the owners are doing a cooking demonstration. The Duke not paying attention cuts his chin, the hotel provide a rather nice plaster with elephants on?

Arriving at 7 and joining two other couples both from Germany. We are being shown how to cook Sweet and Sour Chicken with Cashew nuts, by Basket and his cousin, we were all crammed into the small kitchen. So didn’t learn much but great camaraderie and plenty of beer. Then lots to eat, not as spicy as in a restaurant but OK.

So cooking and dinner over, back to the bungalow as we have an early start.
