Thank you Thailand
Down for breakfast at just over seven, don’t believe we are last. The Chinese have taken over the restaurant, so we have to sit on a couple of bar stools. The two young girls are rushing around. After a 2 year break from long distant trips, needing to concentrate on a shorter permanent trip from Spain to Portugal. Dame ‘Awkes and Duke Albondigas are settled in their new Home, so it’s time to travel again.
The Dame is well aware of the global movement to save the planet and is a follower of Greta Thunberg. To offset her carbon footprint , her cunning plan was to buy the Duke an electric bicycle, so when he goes down to her favourite bodega for some important supplies the only pollution is the sweat from the Duke
This trip is to Thailand where they will be experiencing the hectic life of Bangkok. Then onto Chiang Mai where Dame ‘Awkes will be looking after some elephants that have been rescued from the villagers who forced them to work. They are both looking forward to a Thai cooking class, though usually argue in the kitchen! After Chiang Mai A few days in the jungle . Finally time to unwind on some of Thailand’s magnificent beaches.
So its off to Lisbon airport for our flight to Thailand.
